Viva DeConcini

Guitarist and composer Viva DeConcini is pure rock-and-roll, playing everywhere from Bonnaroo to Monterey Jazz Fest with various acts, including legendary Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista’s innovative funk theater/band Beat The Donkey. She’s produced music, burlesque, and variety shows at The Slipper Room and Joe’s Pub, and is one of the few females to have been featured in Guitar Player magazine. A frequent collaborator of downtown darling Taylor Mac, DeConcini recently slayed an 8am rendition of Purple Rain as part of Mac’s 24-hour show at St. Ann’s Warehouse, A 24-Decade History of Popular Music.
