The Puerto Rican-born, New York-bred Tito Nieves is known as the Pavarotti of salsa. That’s due to the vocalist’s crystalline, booming voice, capable of carrying an ensemble group. It’s no wonder he was known as one of the leading salsa musicians of ‘80s and ‘90s New York. He’ll be performing along with Bodoma and Garifuna Culture Band as they perform Indigenous Caribbean sounds. Bodoma & BGCB are currently leading the traditonal Garifuna music revival movement.
