Bryce Dessner seamlessly blends aspects of classical and popular music to create compositions which have been described as “deft” and “vibrant” by The New York Times. Drawing on Baroque and Folk music, late Romanticism and Modernism, Minimalism and the Blues, he winds these elements to inform his organic and individual voice as a composer. For this special concert, Dessner joins the NY-based orchestral collective The Knights, who are dedicated to transforming the concert experience and driven by an open-minded spirit of camaraderie and musical discovery.
