Seth Kessel and the Two Cent Band

Seth Kessel and the Two Cent Band play an innovative repertoire that features a modern-day interpretation of Prohibition-era swing and 1950s rock ‘n’ roll. The Brooklyn-based five-piece is comprised of highly skilled musicians who perform extensively throughout the United States and abroad.  Frontman Seth Kessel layers his virtuosic guitar-playing and rich-toned, multi-octave voice with vibrant horns (Gabriel Yonkler on saxophone and Jackson Hardaker on trombone) and a dynamic rhythm section (Nick Wight on drums and percussion and Larry Cook on upright bass). Their live performances include energetic rock shows that inspire audiences to dance, and jazz gigs at speakeasies with old-world charm. Throughout these diverse styles and venues, the band performs variations of their witty and playful original songs. They are often joined on stage by special guests on fiddle, clarinet, mandolin, accordion, piano, and more. They regularly perform at clubs, weddings, and parties throughout New York City and the tri-state area.  Their debut album, In the Golden Days, was released in 2013, and their second album will be released later this year.
