Acclaimed pianist, composer, and arranger Onaje Allan Gumbs, bassist Gregory M Jones, and drummer EJ Strickland form the core of this melodic jazz trio, while the “plus” is a rotating cast of special guest musicians and vocalists. Gumbs—a veteran sideman best known as a member of the legendary trumpeter Woody Shaw’s band and for playing alongside greats like Nat Adderley, Betty Carter, and Cassandra Wilson—is renowned for the beautifully reflective, lyrical touch he brings to the piano.
