Martha Redbone

The “charismatic indie-soul diva” (Time Out New York) Martha Redbone brings “Redefining Americana: Digging Up Roots,” a musical exploration of her multi-textured southern heritage encompassing Appalachian folk, piedmont blues, country, gospel, honkytonk, bluegrass, soul and traditional Native American music to Lower Manhattan this summer for five lunchtime performances at One New York Plaza.

Since the establishment of her career in London and New York City, Redbone has humbly and steadfastly earned a solid reputation as a sought-after collaborator. She has worked with numerous talented artists, from British Grammy winner Shola Ama to legends such as Walter “Junie” Morrison. Redbone and her UK-bred partner Aaron Whitby consistently provide essential direction and soulful support to combine track and artist into an indelible whole.
