Indian-born singer Kiran Ahluwalia fuses the hypnotic grooves of her homeland and Pakistan with passionate Saharan desert blues and innovative Western jazz. Ahluwalia’s vocals are backed by a band that includes the guitar wizardry of Pakistani-American musician Rez Abbasi, as well as harmonium, tabla, and bass.
