Family Day: Laurie Berkner, Something Positive, Brooklyn United Marching Band

Laurie Berkner

Best-selling, award-winning children’s musician Laurie Berkner has been a longtime fixture on TV’s Nick Jr. and Sprout channels. Listeners to SiriusXM Radio’s Kids Place Live channel know Laurie as the popular host of Laurie Berkner’s Instant Party! and Laurie Berkner’s Garden: Eat, Play, Grow. Her original songs, albums (nine so far), DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie Berkner is the uncrowned queen of children’s music and the power behind the progressive “kindie rock” movement. What sets Laurie apart? Her music speaks to kids without talking down to them, charming youngsters without boring grown-ups. Laurie’s “You and Me Solo Tour” show features popular hits like “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” and “Rocketship Run,” plus – as a special treat for fans – a few well-loved Laurie Berkner songs that are not often heard at Laurie’s full-band concerts!
