Master percussionist Dendê, formerly of Bahia’s legendary Timbalada, leads “an expert amalgamation of Afro-Brazilian and Cuban rhythms” (Flavorpill). With roots in the traditions of Candomblé and Samba de Roda, Hãhãhães performs original compositions and arrangements filled with sophisticated beats tempered by thought-provoking lyrics and sweet melodies.
