Since early childhood, saxophonist Jay Rodriguez has been honing his talent with the likes of Miles Davis, Tito Puente, James Brown, Prince, and even Tupac Shakur. His sound is as diverse as his collaborators, and he swings gracefully from jazz to Latin to funk to hip-hop. The musical director/founder of Groove Collective, one of NYC’s hottest fusion bands, Rodriguez’ expert playing, composing, and arranging, have earned him two Grammy Award nominations.
