Passinho Dance Off: The Movie

Passinho is a creation of the kids in Rio’s favelas—a hybrid of pop, break-dancing and traditional samba, pagoda, and frevo. Competitions started to get media attention, propelling some of the dancers to local fame and changing their lives. Breaking away from the temptation of drugs and crime, passinho brings a fresh optimism to the neighborhoods.
