Singer, percussionist, song-writer and Bahia native Nanny Assis is a hard talent to define. For his multifaceted talents, Nanny has developed an international reputation as a signature voice in Brazilian music and was recently recognized with a Brazilian International Press Award nomination for Best Vocal Performance.

Four dynamic ensembles pay tribute to the melodies and rhythms of this year’s World Cup host-country with an emphasis on the crossroads of Brazilian and American music styles in New York. Traditional Brazilian genres of samba, bossa nova, and forró meet American jazz, soul, and country in this free lunch time concert series.
