“Well I started my band about a good 5 years ago with my friends and awesome musicians. The bass player (Puriri Matos) has performed with Paquito Guzman and sat in with the Tito Puente orchestra. The bongo player (Danny Morales) has played with numerous orchestras like Ray de la Paz, Johnny Zamot. The timbales player (Ralph Lopez) has performed numerous times with the New York City Salsa Orchestra. The conga player (Willie Romero) has played with Johnny Pacheco Celia Cruz. The trombone player (Charles Garcia) the musical director for the LeBron brothers Willie Colon. The trumpet player (Dennis Hernandez) is from Cuba and has performed with a lot of the Cuban All Star bands and freelanced in New York City with almost everyone in Jazz and Latin music. Myself (Victor Santos) am the pianist. I have performed with Hector Lavoe, Conjunto Clasico, Joe Bataan, Frankie Ruiz, Celia Cruz and I am in the movie ”The Singer” El Cantante based on the life story of Hector Lavoe. As La Epoca, we perform songs from Hector Lavoe, Eddie Palmieri, Oscar De Leon, and Tito Puente, just to name a few. We are hardcore 1970s Salsa at its best. You will enjoy trumpet and trombone solos, percussion solos, bass solos, and piano solos with chorus and vocals.” – Victor Santos
