On August 29, 2009, Spike Lee through a birthday celebration for the King of Pop in Prospect Park in memoriam of his passing on June 25 . The gathering had attracted tens-of-thousands of Michael Jackson’s fans. All of them had spent the afternoon dancing, singing and paying their respects to Michael Jackson’s musical legacy presented by DJ Spinna.
