As part of Warp Records 20th celebration, several of the label’s hottest artists will tear up the stage in the Winter Garden. Tonight’s festivities include sets from electronic masters Jimmy Edgar, Hudson Mohawke and Clark, as well as Warp DJs.
To celebrate its twentieth year, Warp Records and Warp Films will bring together a roster of artists, directors and guests for a series of spectacular events around the world. Combining music, film and art at prestigious venues, Ward is proud to announce the one and only Warp20 celebration in the US – Warp20 (New York) – beginning on Thursday, September 3, through Sunday, September 6.
New York City will be home to events that include two live concerts and a series of film screenings at venues all over Manhattan. Throughout the weekend, The New Museum will host a series of screenings from Warp Films’ award-winning feature length, documentary and short films, as well as classic Warp artist music videos from the past 20 years. On Friday, September 4, Terminal 5 will present Battles, playing new material for the first time anywhere; !!! in their only NYC show of the year; Prefuse73, Pivot and Flying Lotus.
On Saturday, September 5, The World Financial Center Winter Garden will host a free, live event with performances by Jimmy Edgar, Hudson Mohawke and Clark, as well as Warp DJs.(Source)
