Conrad Richards 8:00 PM
Chicago’s Conrad Richards claims to have written over 800 songs and poems. The set-up and number of band mates varies from show to show: sometimes blues-punk, sometimes murder ballads, always odd. His sound has been compared to a mixture of Captain Beefheart, Eels, and Nick Cave. Monica Kendrick of the Chicago Reader called him “a singer-songwriter working at a riveting level of energy and charisma.” She adds, “guitar and harmonica blare and rattle and chug like the soundtrack to a rail-riding hobo’s apocalyptic nightmare—like Captain Beefheart is back and he wants to kill you.” Richards will bring along multi-instrumentalist John Bruce for the show.

Milly Beau 11:00 PM
Milly Beau is music for the masses. We are four Brooklynites with strings, that sing and hit things. In an attempt to name the genre we have settled on Soul Thrash… rock to elicit collective emotion. The lyrics are inspired by slam poets of the big apple, and our sets are dedicated to people that have ears and hearts for art.
