Anna Vogelzang 10:00 PM
“Combine sweet, early-jazz warbling, classic female singer-songwriter acoustics, and indie-folk quirk… and you’ll have an inkling of the unique style cultivated by vocalist Anna Vogelzang.” – Brick Weekly. Anna plays the guitar & the glockenspiel, appearing as a duo with her jazz-fiddle player Joe Arnold. They have shared the stage with The Dresden Dolls, Mirah, Wye Oak, Franz Nicolay, Deertick, & Kyp Malone. On tour from Chicago, the duo will be promoting their 2 newest DIY recordings – the hand-printed Nesting EP & digital-for-donations CARTOGRAPHY. “Her voice will blanket you with awe… Do whatever you can to see her live.” – The Deli Magazine

Emily Hope Price 11:00 PM
Experimental-folk cellist/singer/songwriter Emily Hope Price (pictured) uses bowing, plucking, looping, “cello body percussion”, and other instruments to create her signature sound, adding to it sweet and salty vocals to intensify the colors her work creates. Drawing inspiration from film scores, dark fables and unique visual imagery, Emily applies a rare aural sensuality in her music, continually creating a riveting listening experience for her audience. Emily is also a member of the Brooklyn-based folk-roots trio Pearl and the Beard. “If you are lucky, cellist Price will grace you with a solo performance. I can’t say enough about her talent and the impact of amplifying modern lyrics with a classical instrument. It’s hypnotic”. – SoHo Journal
